Blizzard has released a new gameplay trailer for Overwatch 2's new character, Sojourn.
Coming just a day after the animated origin story was released, the gameplay trailer for Sojourn gives a first glimpse of what it would be like to play it in Overwatch 2. In the gameplay trailer, Sojourn uses a railgun similar to Soldier: 76's rifle to help her team advance. Its high mobility allows it to keep up with two famous mobile heroes, Genji and Echo.
Alongside the video, Blizzard shared a graphic detailing Sojourn's capabilities. The rail rifle fires projectiles that generate energy on impact. The character's mobility comes from the Power Slide, which allows him to slide on the ground and jump high in the air, similar to Baptiste.
Another of her active abilities is Disruptor, which fires a massive energy shot that slows and damages enemies in an area. His ultimate, the Overclocking ability, automatically charges his railgun for a short time, allowing his shots to pierce through enemies, allowing him to hit multiple enemies with fewer shots. Based on the way it's shown in the gameplay trailer, the developers plan for Sojourn to be a powerful mid-range character capable of both slowing down enemies on the flank and hitting high-mobility targets.
Sojourn will arrive in the closed beta of Overwatch 26, which is scheduled to start on April 2.
