PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021 will take place in three phases from November 30 to January 23, 2022, Tencent announced today.
Unlike last year, when only one global competition was run, the 2021 PMGC is split into East and West. Here is the schedule for PMGC 2021.
League (East and West): 30 November – 19 December
League Finals (East and West): 22 – 24 December
PMGC 2021 Grand Finals: January 21-23
Eastern and Western leagues and league finals will be played at the same time. 20 teams in each region will compete in the league stage, which will last for three weeks. From here, the top 16 teams will compete in the league finals for the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals, where a world champion will be crowned.
From the east, the top nine teams will advance to the Grand Finals. The West will send six teams to the PMGC 2021 Grand Finals. Between 21-23 January 2022, a total of 16 teams, one of which is invited, will compete here.
Last year, the grand finals were played in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The home country's team, Elites United, has been directly invited to the league. Something similar could happen this year.
