Rockstar Games has opened the doors of a feature that can give GTA 6 fans an idea of how big the next map will be.
Game developers have been overly secretive since they announced in February that GTA 6 was in development and broke a record of engagement on Twitter.
Since that time , A few leaks have surfaced regarding some of the upcoming changes for Grand Theft Auto fans. . A hacker posted photos and videos of images allegedly under development, including incomplete textures and models.
Those wondering how big the next map might be may have been put on red alert this November when Rockstar sent out polls about a possible innovation.
GTA survey gives tips for fast travel
Selected GTA Online players were reached through feedback surveys about GTA+.
Tez2 As reported by , players are asked to choose between two new offers that are not yet available in the online mode:
- Instant fast travel around the map
- Free access to classic Rockstar games
This could be the development team putting it out there for new ideas or something bigger, like a hint about possible innovations for GTA 6.
This comes a few days after it was reported that select GTA Online players were given $500.000 in-game to complete surveys. At that stage, limited information was available regarding its contents. But Tez2 says that a very special version of the feature is available to those who complete the survey. “The ability to fast travel around Los Santos and Blaine County,” it read.
Other popular open world games with a fast travel option include Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and even Red Dead Redemption under the Rockstar umbrella.
RDR2, for example, has a 50-square-mile map for players to explore, compared to GTA 5's, which is just under 75 square miles.
The closest thing to fast travel in Grand Theft Auto is to take a taxi, but who wants to pay?
So it's unlikely that future GTA games, including GTA 6, will have a larger map that needs to be powered by fast travel. I think it's for online. We'll just wait and see.
