Published Trailer Like Starfield Movie. Starfield has released a live-action trailer that looks like a big-budget sci-fi movie.
While we've all been waiting for Starfield, Bethesda released a pretty epic live-action trailer for its first new IP in 25 years during today's Gamescom Opening Night Live - and if you didn't know better, perhaps you would think it was the first look at a big-budget sci-fi movie.
Aptly sung with an orchestral cover of Elton John's song Rocket Man, the trailer shows the final look at Starfield's intergalactic environment, complete with starships, stunning planetary views, and more. It shines a clear light on the world-building that Bethesda has done with Starfield, following in the footsteps of the vast worlds built by series like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
This wasn't Starfield's only appearance at gamescom; Bethesda's Todd Howard also took the stage with Opening Night Live host Geoff Keighley to say a few words about the game, reveal more details about The Constellation faction, and said, "NASA is meeting with Indiana Jones." There was also a stunning piano performance by Starfield composer Inon Zur.
All of this is as we enter the final stage for Starfield, which will launch into early access on September 1st and then release more broadly for PC and Xbox Series X/S on September 6. Critics have already taken over the game, reviews will be published on August 31, but be careful: spoilers have already leaked online.
