If Nerf comes to light in the 2022 League of Legends preseason, it could have a lasting impact on the meta.
Teleport could get a new look in 2022.
Summoner enchantment, which has become a staple of top and mid lane in recent years, could be receiving a significant nerf in the first 14 minutes of the game, limiting it to allied structures.
The League of Legends public test environment (PBE) reads, “Teleport your champion to the targeted ally structure after channeling for four seconds.” “Upgrades to Unleashed Teleport in 14 minutes.”
“Unleashed Teleport” is the regular version of the Teleport players are used to in Summoner's Rift and can now be channeled into allied structures, minions, wards, traps, and Zac's passive blocks.
If Nerf comes to light in the preseason 2022, it could have a lasting impact on the meta. It gives players more breathing room by preventing champions, especially top lane players, from punishing lower lane early in the game. It also slows the overall pace of the game by putting an end to early skirmishes. In contrast, the nerf can force top laners to mate for the first 14 minutes, leaving little room for creativity.
However, this change is temporary and can be easily reversed before the next patch hits the live servers in two weeks. Patch 11.25 is scheduled for December 22nd.
