The Invincible has released a new 5-minute gameplay video! 11 Bit Studios and developer Starward Industries showed off five minutes of gameplay of The Invincible at the PC Gaming Show. First revealed in 2020, The Invincible takes place as the astrobiologist Yasna conducts a rescue mission on the distant planet Regis III.
Several crew members of an interstellar scientific expedition go missing on the mysterious planet. It will be Yasna's job to discover what happened to them and whether they are still alive on a planet with these terrible secrets.
For fans of classic science fiction, the game's art design has a retro-futuristic aesthetic inspired by the novel of the same name by Polish science fiction writer Stanislaw Lem.
Marek Ziemak, director of external development at 11 Bit Studios, said of the theme: “When many of us were young, Lem gave us a vision of the future that felt surreal. As a reader, I couldn't have imagined the world of The Invincible to be more tangible than the one depicted in the game. As a Polish publisher whose mission is to provide meaningful entertainment, we could not miss the opportunity to create a play based on such an important part of Polish cultural heritage as Lem's book.”
The Invincible will hit PC and consoles next year.
