Riot Games teased the next VALORANT agent during the opening ceremony of the VCT Champions Finals earlier today. The clip shows a silhouette of coded numbers and letters, while a woman's voice speaks about her strengths in Filipino and English.
Before releasing the teaser during the VCT Champions finale broadcast, Riot variously explained the origin of the next agent. For example, in the latest Night Market released on the client, VALORANT players can see star-shaped lanterns, most likely parols, traditional Philippine lanterns displayed during the holidays.
From what we know so far, Agent 19 will most likely shine. The last radiant agent released, Astra, landed on servers in early 2021. The next agent's powers seem to be electrocuted, as he mentioned "lightning" in the teaser. More specifically, "I hope they like the lightning strike," he says. He also warns to "be prepared" as it "goes fast", possibly hinting at a talent on his set.
Fans can kill time waiting for more information on the new agent with a fun mode coming to VALORANT in the next few weeks, which will be chosen from three possible options based on popular vote. Fans can probably get some news early next year, possibly with the arrival of Patch 4.0 next month.
