VALORANT players will have to wait an extra week to see the next major game update. Riot Games confirmed today that Patch 6.02 has been officially delayed to February 7.
Usually, Riot releases a new VALORANT patch every two weeks, with update 17 on January 6.01th and update 31 on January 6.02st. However, a problem with accessing the PBE servers is that Riot has planned their plans for patch 6.02. changed.
PBE is the early access version of VALORANT and few eligible players will have access to these patches before new patches and updates are officially released in full, and PBE sessions are usually held on the weekend. The purpose of players in PBE is to look for bugs and test stability before new versions are released.
However, the PBE session for update 21, scheduled for the weekend of January 22-6.02, was canceled due to an unknown issue that prevented Riot from opening the PBE. The start date of the next PBE session has been moved to February 4, 03:00 Turkey time.
With the PBE session for update 6.02 moved to February 3 and the official launch of the patch to February 7, the VALORANT team at Riot will have slightly less time than usual to fix bugs or stability issues. However, Patch 6.01 fixed a few bugs at release, including a handful of bugs found in the latest map, Lotus.
Patch 6.03 will be released a week later, on February 14.
