Jett, Sova, Astra, Skye…
Jett was the most selected VALORANT agent in the group stage of VCT Masters Berlin.
The mobile duelist has proven time and time again that he is the one to choose in professional games. Jett's ability to jump in and out of danger, access unique vantage points, and dominate rescue rounds makes him VALORANT's premier duelist. No manager has such a high selection rate at Masters Berlin so far, while Sova, Astra and Skye round out the top four.
According to VLR.gg, Jett's impact on pro play may require some adjustments, as evidenced by his 80 percent pick rate in Berlin, as top players can maximize the efficiency of Jett's mechanics. Riot may want to consider lowering it to a constant, whether it's to increase the price of his abilities, rearrange his breakthrough, or make his ult less powerful.
Sova, Astra, and Skye all have relatively close pick rates, with pick rates of 61, 58 and 53 percent respectively, which makes sense. Each of these agents offers the necessary utility to execute or rotate. Sova's intelligence is unmatched, with two abilities capable of detecting opposing players. Pair that with Shock Darts and an ultimate that can deal deadly damage, it's a pretty powerful choice. The Astra turned out to be the best controller because it doesn't just deliver smokes, it can destroy opponents with Gravity Well or zone them with Cosmic Divide. And Skye's potential to easily use three blinds in one round makes her one of the best starters in the game.
As for duelist Yoru, the Japanese agent was picked only once during the group stage of Berlin by the Korean team F4Q and it didn't go too well. While there is still time to play more matches in the international event, teams that choose Yoru will only put themselves at a disadvantage. While the Duelist's kit offers some superior potential, it is very bulky and requires a lot of effort to be effective. Riot promised buffs for the crushing agent, but they were "delayed indefinitely" due to "unforeseen circumstances".
