So far, two teams have been determined in the Wild Rift: Horizon Cup. This weekend, another team will take part in League of Legends: Wild Rift's first global event during the Lolcito Salvaje Abierto Finals.
Lolcito Salvaje Abierto is Wild Rift's first esports event in Latin America. Teams from across the region can enter the open qualifiers to qualify for the North or South qualifiers. The top four teams in each qualifier advanced to the finals.
The finals will take place from 23 to 26 September. According to Liquipedia, eight teams will compete at the Artz Pedregal Mall in Mexico City. There is a $50.000 prize pool and the winner will get a spot in the Horizon Cup.
Finals will be a single elimination system and every match will be Bo5. Wild Rift LATAM will be streamed live on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
Horizon Cup will be held in Singapore from 13 to 21 November. Ten teams will qualify to compete through regional leagues around the world. The two teams that have qualified so far are Da Kun Gaming from China and KT Rolster from South Korea. Da Kun Gaming won the Spark Invitational in August to attend the event, while KT Rolster were the winners of Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK) earlier this month.
