New Psychological Horror Game Homebody Announced! Dream Daddy developer Game Grumps has announced a new psychological horror game called Homebody. Inspired by the classic slasher movies of the 1980s, this is a narrative-driven game where you try to escape the killer by solving puzzles, making dialogue choices, and inside a house.
Judging by the trailer below, HomeLand's low-end graphics only add to the game's grim atmosphere.
Dream Daddy used to be a game that was tackled with hilarious humor, but Homebody is apparently the next step in a shift to a different genre for Game Grumps. "We're obsessed with horror games, so it was a natural change to explore the horror genre when coming out of Dream Daddy," said Homebody's game director, Jory Griffis.
“We were excited to retain the narrative and storytelling values we learned while making Dream Daddy and use them in a game with a completely different tone and challenging new mechanics.”
"We're big fans of everything Game Grumps does," said Chris Archer, chief strategy officer at Rogue Games. “From their comedies to game development, Game Grumps embodies everything we want to grow as a publisher, and we're excited to help bring Homebody to gamers later this year.”
It will be published by Homebody Rogue Games and will be out for PC and console later this year.
