The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton.
Glen Schofield shared a new gameplay trailer for the game.
In a new interview, Striking Distance Studios CEO Schofield revealed to gamers a little more about how the new sci-fi horror movie came about and how the story was written, and released some brand new gameplay footage.
You can check out the new gameplay footage below:
In the new footage, our character is ambushed twice by a terrifying creature and seems to be struggling frantically to keep going.
Also in the footage, we take another look at the game's dark, suffocating environments, the weapons we'll have at our disposal, and the various ways we can use them to shoot down chunks of grotesque fleshy enemies.
Schofield recently EurogamerI try to have the same mentality as 'a' The Callisto Protocol – let's make the best game we can, let's lay all the foundations of the game. Anything we start to do has to be scary and tense, let's just do it." said
The game takes place in 2320, in a prison colony called Black Iron, operated by the United Jupiter Company and located on Jupiter's moon Callisto. The main character is Jacob Lee, a prisoner held in Black Iron. Jacob finds himself in the middle of an alien invasion that appears to have been engineered by the warden.
The Callisto Protocol is due out for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X, Xbox S Series and PC on December 5, and it's apparently going to be a much scarier game than Dead Space.
