Activision has announced more information about Call of Duty: Vanguard's Ranked Play mode, which will launch in beta on February 17 next week.
Ranked play in Vanguard will feature seven skill sections (Contender, Specialist, Advanced, Expert, Elite, Master and Challenger) and will be played in the official Call of Duty League ruleset, including maps and modes. The final two episodes, Master and Challenger, will represent the top five percent and one percent of players, respectively.
Players will receive rank and some rank rewards by earning Skill Rating or SR (Skill Rating) in an Elo system. A Top 250 leaderboard will be added at the end of the beta, but for now players can start their journey by playing five placement matches to earn their first SR before climbing. SR is earned through match winning and personal performance, and SR is lost by losing matches.
Special rewards include weapon blueprints, camouflages, talismans, calling cards, operator skins and more. Rewards can be used in both Vanguard and Warzone, so players can show off their skills anywhere.
