PS5 New Deep Earth Colors Available for Pre-Order. Sony is releasing a new set of metallic colors for its DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers. It's called the Deep Earth Collection and it's available for pre-order right now. The set includes controllers and console covers (for both disc and digital models) in volcanic red, cobalt blue and sterling silver. All products will be released starting November 3. Let's take a look.
Deep Earth Collection PS5 Controllers
The remotes look pretty great, with bold red and blue colors and a tasteful (though less eye-catching) silver finish. Feature-wise, they're no different from the standard PS5 DualSense controller, but "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" — Sony, probably.
For some reason the Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue colors will be available on November 3rd, but you'll have to wait until January 26th for the Silver color to ship.
Deep Earth Collection PS5 Console Covers
The console cases were only available on the PlayStation Direct store, at least at the time of this writing. The cases match the DualSense colors exactly, so you can get a set in the same color as the controller you received or mix and match to your taste. It all looks pretty great if you ask me. PS Direct also has controllers, so you can buy them both in one place if you want.
The release dates for the various console covers are the same as the controllers: the red and blue cover will be released on November 3rd, while the silver cover will be released on January 26th. I think silver lasts longer.
