Riot Games announced late last year that a new partnership with Amazon will create usable in-game content for all of its games through Prime Gaming. This included loot for League of Legends, VALORANT, Legends of Runeterra and Wild Rift, all of which change monthly.
Since then, LoL players with a linked Amazon Prime account have been able to redeem a Prime Capsule each month for 650 RP, a set of Eternals, champion pieces, Orange Essence, an XP boost, and a permanent skin. However, updated content from League's PBE cycle shows that the RP awarded could be cut in half and now offer five Magnificent Essences instead.
The Prime Capsule's updated text says players will receive “350 RP,” according to Twitter account @SkinSpotlights, which is 300 RP less than what the capsules have been providing for the past few months. It will also reportedly include the newly overhauled new currency, Magnificent Essence, to open Craftsman Chests and give players greater access to Prestige-Splendid skins.
Players can't do much with five Magnificent Essences, but the scarcity of currency makes it worthwhile. The current Glory line includes skins such as Ashen Knight Pyke and the newly released Prestige Lunar Eclipse Senna, complete with a special bezel.
This change has not been confirmed by both Prime Gaming and Riot, and if true, it is not expected to take effect until the June capsule. May's Prime Capsule was launched last week, and the pods contain the same ingredients as previous months.
