Indonesian esports organization BOOM Esports is overhauling its roster after Dota 2's unsuccessful results at The International 10 tournament.
BOOM's reinforcements include former OB Esports x Neon mid laner Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer. Former BOOM mid laner Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman will continue to be a part of BOOM in his bench, but Erin “Yopaj” Ferrer will play for OB Neon on an interim basis for the upcoming Moon Studio tournament.
Yesterday, Boom Esports announced the signing of Rolen “skem” Ong, also from OB Neon.
Yopaj and skem were part of the excellent OB Neon roster that exceeded expectations at the ONE Esports Singapore Major, finishing fifth-sixth despite playing with two substitutes. Unfortunately for them, the poor ranking in season two of the Dota Pro Circuit SEA Regional League meant they didn't have enough DPC points to directly qualify for TI10.
BOOM's new roster isn't fully populated yet, but fans will likely make their first observations in season one of OB Moon Asian Arena, which is scheduled to kick off September 6.
