According to industry veteran Tom Henderson, Call of Duty: Vanguard players will finally be able to see two iconic characters, Captain America and Indiana Jones, as in-game operators.
Henderson tweeted today that Disney is discussing “potential partnership opportunities” with Activision, which means iconic characters from the Disney catalog could appear on Vanguard. Henderson was also sent code sequences from CoDPerseus_, an account that posted leaked Call of Duty information and referenced an in-game event featuring the characters. It's unclear what the event will cover or when it will take place, and it has not been officially confirmed whether any characters will appear in Vanguard.
Other popular culture figures have appeared in Call of Duty games lately. Judge Dredd, John Rambo, and John Mclane have previously appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone. Scream's Ghostface and Donnie Darko's Frank the Rabbit were also recently added to The Haunting seasonal event.
Captain America and Indiana Jones, both characters during World War II. Characters to match Vanguard's timeline as it was active during World War II. Indiana Jones fought the Nazis throughout the 1930s, and Captain America is a WWII veteran. Special finishers sound exciting to fans, along with Captain America's shield or Indiana Jones' whip that fit the aesthetic and mood of Vanguard, as in the 2011 movie.
Activision hasn't officially announced whether any of the characters are coming to Vanguard, but fans can use both exciting heroes in the future.
