Death Stranding Currently Free. If you missed Norman Reedus' babysitting adventure, you can get it for free from the Epic Games Store.
Did you or someone you love miss Death Stranding when it was released in 2019? Want to play Kojima's UPS delivery simulator before the sequel comes out? Lucky for you, the game is free for a limited time on the Epic Games Store.
To be clear, this is the original iteration of Death Stranding, not the extended Director's Cut that was released in 2021 with all the new features and story content. So if you want a more "complete" version of Norman Reedus' babysitting hiking trip, you'll still have to pay $23,99 (on sale at least). However, the basic version of the game is free until next Thursday, May 25. When the clocks show 11 am, the game will return to its paid status and will cost $29,99. The Director's Cut will be discounted until 15:11.00 pm on June 39,99th, after which it will be $XNUMX.
It's worth noting that some think the additions to the Director's Cut undermine many of the things that make the game great. So there may be an argument to choose to play the free original rather than the "definitive" version that has the most content.
For its free price, Death Stranding is worth a try. I say that because I didn't really like the game when it first came out. I've heard a lot of interesting things about her story, no matter how silly the baby images seem out of context (and possibly in context). I would rather try this as a movie and Kojima is making a movie too, but it won't follow the same story as the source material.

While Death Stranding was divisive, it helped create "strand games", which Kojima saw as a new genre. What does it mean? Kojima defines it as having a social connection at its core, and developers who make games that they claim fall into this category, such as Strange Scaffold, define it as focusing on nutrition and having transportation elements.
