With Diablo 4 Patch 1.1, players should prepare themselves for a massive update today, July 18.
The highly anticipated first season of Diablo 4 kicks off on July 20, and Patch 1.1 will change the game in preparation for new content.
Not all of the patch notes have been released yet, Blizzard's global community director Adam Fletcher said on Twitter that they expect the patch notes to be localized for global players - the notes themselves are 6.600 words.
Another update from another developer, Rod Fergusson, revealed that the patch is expected to arrive at 12pm CT - that's 1pm EDT, 6pm BST and 3am AST (July 19).
With changes to be made, Diablo 4's 1.1 Patch will bring new uniques and legendary features, one of which is an uber unique, as well as debuffs to overperforming structures and buffs to classes deemed weak.
The length of Diablo 4's 1.1 patch notes is probably due to the fact that they should contain all the information for season one, including new features and new Malignant Hearts.
In season one, Malicious Beasts were introduced in Diablo 4, with a new questline that unlocks the Binding Cage; this questline is then used to capture Corrupted enemies, which drop Evil Hearts when defeated.
New content includes Malignant Tunnels, described by Blizzard as "replayable dungeons full of fearsome enemies that need to be destroyed", and a new boss called Varshan the Consumed.
To access season one content, players must create a new character in the Seasonal Realm and have completed the campaign with at least one character.
