Diablo 4 Battle Pass Pricing Season Details Announced. As Diablo IV's June release date approaches, Blizzard has revealed how it will handle battle pass pricing and the RPG's seasonal content.
Blizzard has outlined the Diablo IV season essentials with a breakdown of rewards and progression, as detailed on Diablo 4 Battle Pass Pricing in their latest livestream dev blog. Four seasons are planned per year, with the first season starting mid- to late July and lasting three months each.
Seasons are not intended to expand Diablo IV's main narrative; This issue is left to the expansion packs. Instead, it will focus on separate, themed content that replicates the base game and brings "new concepts and ideas to the world of Sanctuary." These concepts include new game mechanics, characters, questlines, items and balancing changes.

Diablo IV adds seasonal questlines and standalone stories with each season. These missions take you through new gameplay events that connect you to RPG's latest themed experience. During the broadcast, Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson stated that this part of the main script story gives the team the opportunity to create "unscripted" missions and mechanics.
"You're basically creating questlines that can be completely different in the open world and don't have to be related to the narrative level of the story," Fergusson said. “It can be about anything interesting you want to play in the open world.”
Diablo IV's quarterly updates are for post-launch adventures, so you'll need to complete the base game before starting the game. Once played, each new character can skip the campaign and immediately start the seasonal update. Seasons will require a new character and your old characters will not be able to participate in these additions, although they are still accessible.
Each quarter adds a seasonal journey with challenges and rewards for completing the battle pass using the experience points system to support you in the new additions of Diablo IV Favor. Blizzard's season pass offers toll routes and additional benefits, as well as a free round-up road.
Blizzard Diablo 4 Battle Pass Pricing Announced
The free battle pass, open to all, adds 27 tiers with rewards like Burning Ashes and other cosmetics. Ashes can be used for seasonal blessings (power-ups) in exchange for experience points, gold, elixir extensions or Obols. Blizzard noted that paid pass rewards do not include additional Burning Ashes, and you must reach certain character milestones before claiming gameplay-affecting goodies.
As for Diablo IV's paid battle pass options, the additions include:
Premium Pass $10
- 63 additional stages
- Two full cosmetic armor sets for each class
- Weapon and armor cosmetics
- Seasonal mount and mount armor
Accelerated Pass $25
- All the benefits of the premium pass
- Instantly unlocks 20 levels
- Creator's Wings emoticon
Since seasons only last three months, the accelerated pass is for late starters and unlocks tiers retroactively for a boost. Some perks, such as unique items and powers unlocked throughout the season, join Diablo IV's main game after the events have ended. Alongside the paid battle pass parts, Blizzard says it's also planning a transformative range of gear for Diablo IV's cash store. Items purchased in the shop are purely cosmetic, and class cosmetics can be used for all account-wide characters.
No exact date has been set for Diablo IV Season 1 yet, and Blizzard's dev panel has stated that details on its theme will be discussed after launch on June 6, 2023. And although it's almost a month away from its release, you can still check out the final Diablo IV beta, which is scheduled for May 12 to May 14.
