Diablo 4 Next Season New Trailer Looks Pretty Scary. Blizzard spoke about upcoming Season of Blood content on Gamescom's Opening Night Live
During Gamescom's Opening Night Live presentation, Blizzard took the stage with host Geoff Keighley to announce that Diablo IV's next update, Season of Blood, will launch on October 17 - just in time for Halloween.
Like Diablo IV's current update, Season of the Malignant, Season 2 will introduce five new and returning endgame bosses, as well as changes to fame rewards, gem and stash storage, and resistance and status effects. While the studio has yet to reveal the details of what these updates will be, Blizzard has released a new trailer that shows what we'll see this October.
If you think this sounds a little creepy, I agree with you. With the vampire hunter Erys at your side, it will be up to the two of you to put an end to a new threat lurking in Sanctuary land. Erys is voiced by Gemma Chan, who you may recognize from movies and TV shows such as Captain Marvel (Minn-Erva), Raya and the Last Dragon (Namaari), Crazy Rich Asians (Astrid) and Eternals (Sersi). Announcing that this is his first video game performance, Chan spoke briefly with Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson about the "bad warrior comrade" Erys, some of the "cool vampire powers" at your command, and the "big bad vampire lord" you'll encounter at the end of Season of Blood.
But not until October 17th. For now, Season of the Malignant is still going and things are not going well unfortunately. After a controversial change in player power level, the studio appealed to the community by promising not to make classes weaker, which Blizzard is aware of leads to an overall "not fun" experience. We hope things go better with Season of Blood.
