Jagged Alliance 3, PC tactics brings the series back after 23 years. Jagged Alliance, the 25-year-old turn-based tactics series, will present its second number-one sequel with Jagged Alliance 3, finally coming to Windows PC.
Jagged Alliance 3, Haemimont GAMES and published by THQ Nordic, which acquired the Jagged Alliance IP in 2015. Jagged Alliance: Gold Edition includes the 1995 game and its 1996 spin-off, Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games.
THQ Nordic says Jagged Alliance 3 will be a "true continuation of the series." In the game, players will command a mercenary force in the fictitious land of Grand Chien, set against a ruthless paramilitary enemy called The Legion.
“Jagged Alliance 3 will combine the exploration of a large game world full of strategic elements with tactically deep, turn-based combat,” THQ Nordic said, “including gaining control over territories, training local forces, and creating multiple squads of beloved mercenaries. – they are all well known to fans of the series.”
The game will also include "RPG elements such as special perks or leveling up for your mercenaries, as well as content such as looting and customizing your weapon arsenal."
Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, Haemimont Games specializes in strategy and city-building games, but has never covered the Jagged Alliance series. Jagged Alliance 2 was released in 1999, following Deadly Games.
Since then, the series has received several expansions and content packs across different platforms, including 2's Jagged Alliance: Back In Action, a full version of Jagged Alliance 2012.
