The 2023 Mid-Season Tournament update has arrived and League of Legends Patch 13.8 is set to introduce loads of power-ups for a handful of pro players, including Nidalee, Lillia, Poppy, Ezreal, and support quarterback Alistair.
While the Riot Games developers don't want to overdo it, they do want to add a few more junglers to Season 2023's meta before MSI 2 kicks off on May 13. These include Nidalee, Lillia, Poppy and Kha'zix. These top the list of buffs announced by balance boss Riot Phroxzon prior to the release of Patch 13.8.
There are also a few characters sent the other way ahead of MSI, including Rakan, Jarvan IV, reworked Aurelion Sol, and rock-solid top laner Malphite.
League collectors won't be missing out on the pro game-focused patch, either; New Dawnbringer and Inkshadow skins will be available throughout the April update cycle. Lucky champions to get these new cosmetics range from brothers Yasuo and Yone to Shuriman rivals Nasus and Renekton.

Riot will make buffs for pre-MSI 13.8 Patch changes
There are a number of disproportionate buffs in this latest League patch, as the Riot balance team prioritized putting more champions into the meta rather than putting too many champions in the meta before MSI 2023 games kick off.
Nearly a dozen League champions will receive ability, stat or mechanical buffs when the next April update is released, including Nidalee, Lillia, Kha'zix, and Poppy. Leona, Alistair, Ezreal, Janna, Garen, Zoe and Kog'maw will also be buffed. In comparison, only four champions are nerfed, Rakan, Jarvan IV, Malphite, and Aurelion Sol.
On top of that, only one item - the Cosmic Driver - is being replaced.
Here are all the early patch notes for the April 19 update. Remember, until Riot releases the official notes, these buffs, debuffs are still temporary and can be withdrawn at any time for a later update.
