Mobile Legends: Bang Bang turns five this October, and developer Moonton Games is ready to kick off the celebration with a bigger-than-usual bang.
This Fifth Anniversary Celebration will continue with the theme “5hare Fun, Forge Legends” and bring new heroes, skins and more special items to commemorate the new beginning of MOBA.
Moonton, the developer behind MOBA, has launched numerous high-profile, globally accessible mobile games from offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China and has built relationships with businesses and esports organizations around the world.
MLBB is the most popular mobile MOBA game that brings together players and communities from around the world to compete in real-time five-on-five battles against rival teams.
In its first five years on the market since its launch in 2016, it has been downloaded more than a billion times and has over 105 million active users, while it is available in over 190 countries and in over 27 languages.
From September 21 to mid-October, players will be able to receive new, limited-time skins for free by participating in new events and campaigns. This will include anniversary special looks, animated shorts and original soundtracks.
One of these new skins will be Miya, the Moon Goddess, which will be available to all players who log in during the event period.
In addition to bringing new content, the Fifth Anniversary Celebration will coincide with ongoing activations that will give players access to even more exclusive content. This will be ensured through Transformers-themed content that includes skins for Johnson (Optimus Prime), X.Borg (Bumblebee), and Granger (Megatron).
This event is currently ongoing and multiple stages will be rolled out over the next few months. If you want to get all the transition skins, you need to collect six sprays for each character.
Here is the event schedule so you can keep up with the increasing drop rates.
Second Phase: 31 August – 27 September
Increased Bumblebee Spray drop rates
Third Phase: September 28 – October 25
Increased Megatron Spray drop rates
Phase Four: October 26 – November 11
Increased Optimus Prime Spray drop rates
Additional cosmetic rewards are available to players depending on whether they support Autobots or Decepticons during stages.
Moonton is also working on the transformative Project NEXT update for MLBB for high-quality changes for many parts of the game, additional tweaks, hero balancing, and a revamped version of the Brawl game mode. There will even be intro events and special cosmetics, and this update introduces a new hero, Floryn.
Additional details on rework and further changes for characters like Hayabusa, Kagura, Lancelot, and Odette will be shared next week.
