A premium health insurance is coming to Cyberpunk 2077!
With the new PC mod, instead of reinstalling in Cyberpunk 2077, you can get a premium health insurance plan that will allow you to resurrect after death. However, for a fee of course.
There's a new Cyberpunk 2077 mod that you can download on PC that adds a health system to the game, in which you can pay a premium for a team of trained in-game medics to revive you really fast.
Created by Nexus Mods user 3nvy, the Death Alternative mod gives you the option to respawn in a nearby hotel room and saves you from the death screen. However, the package
The cure time required to activate and the duration of Eddies depend on the tier you choose. There are currently three available: Silver (10.000), Gold (25.000, and Platinum (50.000), which restore 25%, 50%, or 100% of your life, respectively.
To get your health insurance: You go to the Trauma Team building in the MedCenter and then choose one of the three available plans. You can choose the Platinum tier if you want, as there is no upfront cost. When you die, you're asked whether you want to revive or go the old-fashioned way: watching the death screen and reloading a previous recording. If you have enough Eddie in your pocket for the plan you've chosen, you'll be revived in a hotel room. If you run out of funds, the Trauma Team will cancel your insurance.
Hypothetically, you can revive yourself as much as you want – as long as you have Eddies to cover whatever your health insurance premium.
The mod is still in development but 3nvy is working on the mod, planning to add some debuffs to the character after he dies, and a quest to wake up in the trash with all his loot lost if the player hasn't taken out insurance, and get back lost loot.
While this mod is currently available on PC, there may be a chance it will appear in the official game as well. Developer CD Projekt Red recently hired a group of modders to work on Cyberpunk 2077's backend and mod support.
