Starfield Constellation Edition Smart Watch. The Starfield Constellation Edition came with a stylish little smartwatch and people seem to like it.
I will forever live in the shadow of pain and regret for purchasing Dragon Age: Inquisition – Inquisitor's Edition. For close to a hundred oysters, I got a cheap plastic box full of cheap plastic junk, as well as a download code for a pretty good sequel to Dragon Age 2.
Collector's editions have burned me before but the luckier others have helped heal my spirit and the $300 Starfield Constellation edition seems to be treating people well.
At the heart of the whole deal is a functional smartwatch replica of Starfield's in-game Chronomark. I'm not much of a smartwatch user, but Chronomark's suite of pretty standard apps, like the pedometer and smartphone notification screen, was easily impressed.
More than anything, it's great to see one of these collector's editions comes with something you can actually use. I have all kinds of art books and die-cast items in my office, but nothing of the slightest use.
From afar I'm impressed enough, but the first recipients to post on the Starfield subreddit seem really happy. PotatoKitten011 shared a face-to-face photo of the watch and a pretty shiny mini-review, saying that he wears the watch all day in the office, saying, “Honestly, having this support all day made me feel special. It doesn't look tacky enough for people to notice, but it was great to know it was there." You won't fail to bring Fallout 4's limited edition Pip Boy to work.
Xzanos117 takes a slightly more dignified but still positive approach, stating that you can get an anonymous smartwatch for less for pure functionality, but at the same time, “The fun thing is that the icons and visuals are all clues to what we're going to see in the game. This is cool for Starfield fans!”
It's a neat little gadget, and Fallout 76's bag fiasco (remember?) feels so good in the rearview mirror. I'm happy for all players who just got the Starfield watch, although I'm craving a collector's edition - the mondo edition of Baldur's Gate 3 is currently selling for a billion dollars on the pre-owned market.
