Street Fighter 6 release date announced! Following its announcement earlier this year, Street Fighter 6 was released with a gameplay trailer during the PlayStation State of Play event. Street Fighter 6 is scheduled to arrive on PS2023, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in 4.
The trailer showed off the traditional fights fans have come to expect in Street Fighter games, but it looks like Street Fighter 6 will also feature an open-world story mode set in a metropolis. It is thought that the Open World mode will have a story that involves a fighter being trained and fighting in tournaments.
We also took a look at a few characters in action, including the series' main character, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Luke. The fight scenes look pretty flamboyant, with high-level animations accompanying kicks, punches, and special moves.
Street Fighter 6 will feature an online multiplayer mode called Battle Hub, which is briefly shown at the end of the trailer. A PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership will be required to access the Battle Hub.
It's been more than six years since Street Fighter V was released, but the game has released numerous DLC and updated editions, including the Arcade Edition in 2018 and the Champion Edition in 2020. Street Fighter 6 is expected to launch on PS2023, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in the summer of 4.
