The Disco feature, which is among the musical features in TFT Set 10, provides some healing over time, which can be crucial for powerful units that lead teams to victory.
Hardcore TFT fans will recognize this effect as something similar to the Jade trait from Set 7, but this time the Disco trait allows players to create a team that can deal with tons of damage and generate more than casual players would expect from a relatively defensive trait.
Disco TFT Set 10 champions and Headliner bonus
The Disco feature for TFT Set 10 has five units, each with their own Headliner bonus. If a unit from Disco is a Headliner, the bonus varies depending on which unit you have on your bench or team.
- Nami (Disco/Dazzler): Headliner bonus ability power
- Taric (Disco/Guardian): Headliner bonus health and armor
- Gragas (Disco/Spellweaver/Bruiser): Headliner damage reduction and bonus damage
- Blitzcrank (Disco/Sentinel): Headliner bonus health and improved passive ability
- Twisted Fate (Disco/Dazzler): Headliner allows Twisted Fate to discard three extra cards
Nami and Taric are single cost units and relatively easy to find and collect. You'll need to get a Disco emblem or two-cost Gragas to activate the feature, but stacking Nami with some magic items can be a viable strategy, especially if it's Headliner early on.
Next, both Blitzcrank and Twisted Fate are the feature's best units, conveniently available at four cost levels. Blitzcrank can tank a lot of damage and deal a surprising amount of back damage, while Twisted Fate is a real X-factor. Getting a Guinsoo's Rageblade into Twisted Fate is a huge damage boost for this composition, so make sure you have this item ready when you start using TF in TFT.
How to play the Disco feature in TFT Set 10?
Simply put, the Disco feature revolves around adding inactive units to the board, similar to Training Dummies. Disco Balls appear on the map to assist units placed around them, offering both attack speed and healing to every adjacent unit every three seconds in combat. The hexes that offer those buffs are marked in blue, so it's easy to spot which ones will help your units mid-battle.
To activate the feature, players need at least three Disco units on their board, starting with a Disco Ball that they can move around their board. Each Disco unit added later, up to six, offers an improvement. Four Disco's have better attack speed and healing buffs, while five Disco's add a Disco Ball on top of even better buffs. Finally, six Disco offers the best possible attack speed and healing buffs every three seconds.
There's no inherent benefit to slipbreaking with Disco, but considering how low the unit's damage output was until Twisted Fate showed up, there's a good chance your slipbreaking plays with Disco could lead to some big comebacks for a top four finish.
The best Disco compositions in TFT Set 10
It's a little early to figure out what works best with Disco, but when it comes to feature overlap Dazzler is the best. With both Nami and Twisted Fate, you can get five or six Disco's with four Dazzlers on the field and focus on getting Twisted Fate and Lux items. Tanks will survive longer thanks to Disco, while other units will receive constant attack speed buffs, perfect for the sheer amount of damage TF and Lux can dish out while their Dazzler trait is active.
Another game I had a lot of fun with was Disco with Jazz, and the main focus was to get both Bard and Twisted Fate to three stars. This game is harder due to the need for multiple legendary units towards the end of the game, especially Lucian and Illaoi, but it's really fun and shows how Jazz's buffs to Bard, as well as all the other actives, make him a surprise spell bearer along with Twisted Fate. It shows that you can bring it.
