Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, a game full of controversy and production issues, was delayed to 2021 late last year. Since then, publisher Paradox has chosen to delay the game again, this time out of 2021 altogether. It's also working on a new developer project that replaces Hardsuit Labs, which later faced layoffs. It is one of several problematic projects previously involved by writer Chris Avellone, who has been accused of sexual harassment, although none of his contributions have been used.
Pragmatic
Wait for this delay already Did they explain? Capcom's Pragmata was shown as a showcase for PS2020 in 5, but the game has already been put on a delay. It is said to be delayed until 2023. It gave Death Stranding vibes in its previous appearance and is scheduled to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Dying Light 2
Dying Light 2 has been delayed several times and was originally scheduled for release about a year ago. Announced in January, the delay was unclear, but it still got confirmation for 2021, and it was later confirmed that the game will launch in December. This came after Techland was accused of a toxic work environment and poor leadership. Writer Chris Avellone was also working on Dying Light 2, but left the project over allegations of sexual harassment. Delays have announced that Dead Island 2, the sequel to a game also created by Techland, has been in development for several years and is currently in its third developer.
-Editor Kips: "This is Chris Avellone, my brother, mashallah, he's had his hand in every game, and all the games have been delayed because of him. It's AMAZING"
Digimon Survive
No stranger to delays, Digimon Survive was first announced three years ago and was scheduled for release in 2020 before those plans were thrown into disarray. It will arrive in 2022 at the earliest, and according to Toei Animation's latest report, it could come much later than that.
Stray
Stray was supposed to arrive in 2021 and would bring us the story of a cute cat struggling to survive in a world taken over by robots, However, the development team chose to delay the game until 2022 to "not compromise on quality".
-Editor kps: “may be the cutest game in the world <3”
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Fatshark's Warhammer 2021: Darktide, originally scheduled for release in 40,000, has been delayed to Spring 2021 to give the development team more time to polish and ensure the longevity of the game after launch. It's not clear what exactly this means, but it will release on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Far Cry 6
Last year, Far Cry 6 was officially announced, with a February 18, 2021 release date scheduled. That didn't happen either, with Ubisoft announcing a new October 3, 2021 release date just before E7 2021. It's relatively unusual for Ubisoft to delay Far Cry games by eight months, let alone a month. Far Cry 5 had received a delay, but only a month's delay.
The King of Fighters
The King of Fighters XV went from ambiguous to slightly less uncertain, announcing that it will delay its expected release in 2021 to the first half of 2022. SNK made the announcement just before E3 2021 and said the rising COVID-19 cases in Japan were getting worse. Fatal Fury will be the first new game in the series since 2016, featuring famous returning characters from Ikari Warriors and Art of Fighting.
Gran Turismo 7
Sony announced in February that Gran Turismo 7 has been delayed into 2022. The decision came as "critical" parts of the development process were affected by the pandemic, and a firm date has not been set due to the changing nature of the global situation. This will likely change as we approach next year.
SkateBIRD
Since SkateBIRD will now arrive on September 16 instead of August, we'll have to wait a little longer to smash some half-pipes like cute little birds. This decision was made to allow the game to launch on all platforms at the same time, and this extra month will allow for more polish, more sound and UI improvements.
-Editor kıps: “cute game but aaaa mehh might faint after a while idk”
