Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's early access multiplayer beta went live over the weekend. There's also a cross-play beta coming up. So let's recommend some of the best weapons, perks and add-ons to try while playing Call Of Duty: MW3. Here's some recommended gear for Modern Warfare 3.
Note: Unlocking Modern Warfare 3's weapons is a huge grind, just like Modern Warfare 2, so you may not be able to unlock all the best add-ons for every weapon in such a short time, so here we recommend some of the best early add-ons for you to work with.
Modern Warfare 3 also brings back Call of Duty's classic minimap, where shooting unsilenced weapons will mark you as a red dot on the map. Most of the weapon builds recommended here will include attachment options that are more easily obtainable during the beta, as some silenced barrels are a bit difficult to unlock, but you can always work on unlocking a silencer if you want to stay off the radar.
MCW
The fan-favorite ACR assault rifle from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 is back, but under a new name under the MCW name. The MCW assault rifle is one of the best weapons in the beta version of Modern Warfare 3, and the recommended add-ons will give you increased ammo and better ease of use.
If you want a silenced barrel, the best option for the beta is to level up the SVA 545 assault rifle to unlock the HMRES Mod Suppressor. The VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor seems to be the best suppressor overall, but it's currently locked behind leveling the Longbow sniper rifle, and that rifle is only available as a blueprint in beta for those who pre-order the Vault Edition.
Recommended MCW plugins:
- Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
- Barrel: Second Line Mammoth Heavy Barrel
- Optical: MK. 23 Reflectors
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: RB Talon-X3 Grip
SV 545
Another great assault rifle option is the SVA 545. This is a heavy hitting assault rifle and the recommended attachments will help reduce recoil and make using this gun much easier.
Recommended SVA plugins:
- Barrel: Incursion XII Long Barrel
- Optical: MK. 23 Reflectors
- Stock: Markeev R7 Stock
- Rear Grip: Citadel Grip
- Underbarrel: Bruen Tactical Vertical Grip
Striker
The popular UMP 45 submachine gun also returns to Modern Warfare 3, but it's now called the Striker. This is an extremely versatile submachine gun with the best range currently available in its class, but the recommended attachments will further improve range and mobility. This weapon has a silencer that isn't difficult to unlock, but you'll want to level up the Rival-9 submachine gun to level 7 to unlock the monolithic silencer for both weapons.
Recommended Striker add-ons:
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
- Optical: MK. 23 Reflectors
- Stock: Lachmann Recon Series
- Underbarrel: Bruen Tactical Vertical Grip
KV Inhibitor
Sniper rifles are proving to be a very dominant force in Modern Warfare 3, and the KV Inhibitor can be built to be a very aggressive sniper. The recommended attachments will help with the speed and mobility of this already powerful rifle.
Recommended plugins:
- Barrel: Kastovia GXR-12
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Sight
- Stock: Ivanov Wood Stock
- Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip
- Underbarrel: FTAC SP-10 Angled Grip
Best Perks for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)
The main difference this year is that perk categories are divided into equipment types, such as gloves, tactical vests, and boots. These are still mostly the perks you know and love from Call of Duty, but they're all listed as a wearable piece of equipment.
best vests
Your vest is the one that best suits your style of play. One of the most widely used, as it is designed for mobility and quick map navigation infantry It is a vest. This is perfect in a movement-focused game like Modern Warfare 3. However, if you are an aggressive player and looking for all conflicts, Gunner It's also a good choice because this vest will start you off with maximum ammo and offer faster reload times.
best gloves
Quick Grip gloves are a great choice if you're a sniper as they allow you to switch weapons faster. The Commando gloves are a solid choice if you're an aggressive player who would benefit from being able to reload while running.
best bots
Bots are designed to give you advantages depending on how you want to move around the map. If you're someone who doesn't want to press a few extra buttons to do fancy slide-cancel mechanics, Tactical Pads are great for increasing slide distance and allowing full ADS while sliding. These boots will give you much smoother movement and you won't have to press any extra buttons.
Covert Sneakers is also a solid choice if you want to play sneaky games, as it eliminates your footsteps sounds like the Dead Silent/Ninja perk in past Call of Duty games.
