One of the best ways to acquire resources, increase your Infamy Rank, and earn XP in Skull and Bones It is plunder. This feature allows you to capture an entire settlement, guard towers, and a few ships to secure some valuable loot. Here's what we know about how to plunder settlements while playing Skull and Bones…
The Plunder system in Skull and Bones can be a bit complicated when you first see it. You have the option to plunder numerous small settlements on the map, which sets up a progressive conflict in which you must survive to secure the maximum amount of rewards.
Skull and Bones: How does the Plunder system work?
First and foremost, You can only plunder settlements that you cannot approach on the map.. This is Sainte-Anne or Sacred Tree This means that a settlement like this cannot be plundered. Instead, you need to look for settlements that don't have a fast travel icon on them or are surrounded by a guard tower or two. As you can see in the screenshot below, our ship is right next to two guard towers with a small settlement.
When you approach one of these settlements, two options will appear on your screen: “Interact” and ”Plunder“. If you select the interaction option, a menu will open that allows you to trade with the settlement. This way you can also complete contracts and other tasks.
The loot option opens a small cutscene showing some of your crew disembarking the ship. After the cutscene plays, you will engage in battle with the settlement and any guard towers nearby. At the top of your screen “Kill all enemiesThere will be text that says ” and two icons, one a tower and the other a ship. Of these symbols If any of them are glowing red and if it has a number next to it, you need to eliminate what it tells you.
For example, if you see the ship icon is red and has a “1” next to it, you might want to dive into nearby sinking or extraction This means there is only one ship you need to take down by doing this. If the tower icon is red, you must drain the HP of any nearby guard towers or the settlement itself. Once you have everything you need out of the way, on your HUD you will see a golden treasure chest icon appear. Go to the location of the icon to loot your rewards.
You'll also see four treasure chest icons at the top of your screen, showing your current progress in Plunder. To fully complete a Loot you need to loot four treasure chests, which means you eliminate four phased enemy ships/turrets. Each stage brings new enemies for you to defeat, and you must defeat them over and over again to complete Plunder. After each stage is finished, you can loot another treasure chest in the water.
Once the last chest is looted, a cutscene will play showing your crew returning to the ship and your screen will show “Plunder CompletedYou will receive a notification that says. You can eventually return and loot the same location again, but only after a cooldown has passed.
Looting is a high-risk, high-reward mission in Skull and Bones. You can escape like a bandit with a ton of loot, but there are also multiple enemies trying to take over your ship at the same time. When you first try to plunder a settlement, I recommend that you start from the lower level areas of the map and progress only after upgrading your ship's armor and weapons.
