Fast traveling without dropping all your items will allow you to farm with ease, meet up with others more efficiently, and offer safer ways to explore, especially when more zones are released. So, can you fast travel while playing Ark Survival Ascended?
Is there Fast Travel in Ark Survival Ascended?
Considering ASA is an improved version of Ark Survival Evolved, it makes sense to include features like wild baby dinosaurs, wireless crafting, and storing your items while fast traveling. Although wild dolls and wireless crafting have been added to the game, advanced fast travel is still not available. You can fast travel from one bed to another, but your belongings are left behind. This is a huge inconvenience, especially when you need your weapons to survive.
Riding a pteranodon is extremely fast, allowing you to get from one location to another without the hassle of navigating water, wading through trees, or fighting carnivores. Another advantage is that you can store your belongings and even put extra weight on the dino's saddle. But finding a dino, taming it and making its saddle takes time. It's no substitute for the fast travel mechanic where you save your items.
Teleport Modes
A great replacement for this feature comes from the various mods that implement it. The most notable seaofblood_xhui's Teleporters modStop. It comes with multiple bubble sizes for the teleporter and can transport yourself and your dinos or just the dinos. It is the most popular fast travel tool for the ASA, with over 40.000 downloads in the game and over 52.000 on Curseforge. So I downloaded it and used it myself.
Although the fast travel in the game is not the best, thanks to some modders we can fast travel, protect our items and enjoy Ark Survival Ascended. More mods are sure to come as the previously available options are updated for the new version.
