New Operators, Weapons and a Limited Time Warzone Event
Mercenaries of Fortune's roadmap introduces a new set of operators coming to Vanguard and Warzone with the introduction of Special Operations Task Force Immortal. A level 4 battle pass will be available to players for Season 100, and an additional 2 new DLC weapons will be awarded in the free levels of this new battle pass.
Special Operations Task Force Immortal's Captain Butcher will be featured as an unlockable operator in the premium levels of the Season 4 battle pass. Task Force Immortal's Callum Hendry and Ikenna Olowe will arrive in the in-game store later in the season as cosmetic operator packs.
The free levels of the battle pass will include the new Marco 5 submachine gun and the UGM-8 submachine gun. Later in the season, the Push Dagger blade costume and Vargo-S assault rifle will also be included in the battle pass.
Warzone's Mercenaries of Fortune event will feature a similar questline to past Call of Duty events, with eight missions to complete for rewards such as reticles, weapon talismans, emblems, stickers and calling cards, as well as weapon camo. Completing all eight missions will unlock a gold skin for Warzone's armored SUV.

New Resurgence Map, Caldera Updates and New Features
Mercenaries of Fortune brings the brand new map Fortune's Keep Resurgence, which Activision says is roughly the same size as Rebirth Island and will have the ability to resurrect a teammate. Fortune's Keep has a castle theme with a luxury town built on an island and a mercenary bunker. You can check out the details in the promotional trailer of the new map.
Activision has confirmed with the Season 4 roadmap that Fortune's Keep will not replace Rebirth Island permanently, but the old map will be temporarily unavailable.
For Caldera, players can expect quite a few changes on the island. One of the biggest updates is that Season 4 will remove 50% of the island's vegetation to improve visibility on the map. Players will have more loot opportunities as well as better visibility. The roadmap details more than a dozen areas in the Caldera that have been changed or added, such as mercenary camps and numerous buildings in the Capital. The interesting The Storage point also returns from the old Verdansk map.
Additional features of Warzone's Caldera map include the introduction of ATM machines and Armored SUVs that earn extra cash for Plunder mods.
Golden Plunder will be Caldera's upcoming limited-time mode. Golden Plunder's rules are similar to Plunder's Blood Money mod, but the player count will be increased to 120. Players will drop more cash when they die, and the amount of cash needed for a win will increase to $5 million.

New Mode and Maps
Two more maps will be added to the game for Season 4. In the season opener comes "USS Texas 1945", a redesign of the battleship map in Call of Duty: WWII. Later in the season, players will have the new Desolation map, which is described as a small-medium sized map set in a dense village filled with destruction.
Call of Duty's Blueprint Gun Game multiplayer makes its debut for Vanguard. The aim of this mod is to hunt the enemies with all weapons, just like the standard Gun Game match. Players must eliminate an enemy to move on to the next weapon. The first to finish their progression in weapons wins the match.
Traditional Zombie Mode Returns
The Shi No Numa map, which originally appeared in Call of Duty: World at War, returns to Vanguard to bring a traditional zombie experience. Developer Treyarch has abandoned Vanguard's objective-style maps for a more traditional Zombie experience, and Shi No Numa will be an "advanced" version of these classic maps.
Treyarch said that this version of Shi No Numa for players will include a new area to explore, Easter Eggs, a new Wonder Weapon and more. While Treyarch hasn't confirmed whether it will work the same way, the Wonder Weapon showcased on Activision's roadmap blog is very similar to the Wunderwaffe DG-2 Wonder Weapon originally featured on the Shi No Numa map. This version will also include Shi No Numa's traditional Flogger and electric traps, but players will still have access to Vanguard features such as Altar of Covenants and Tome of Rituals.
The enhanced map also shows a new story tied to Treyarch's ongoing Dark Aether narrative. This main Easter Egg is described as a "multi-step quest that results in a devastating battle," and completing the quest in full will reward players with a calling card.
