Riot Games added the ability for players to customize the color of their crosshairs in a recent update. This customization allowed players to choose colors other than the primary colors that came with VALORANT on day one.
Before the last update, VALORANT players had to choose between certain reticle colors. These colors were white, green, yellow-green, green-yellow, yellow, cyan, pink, red, and there was no brightening or dimming.
The added customization option allows players to choose different colors and their brightness from those previously allowed. Fans have been expecting more color options since VALORANT was released, as the game's biggest competitor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, gives players more freedom for their crosshairs.

Some fans even made a mod to add hexadecimal colors to VALORANT before the update, which is not supported by Riot Games.
Adding a custom color to your VALORANT crosshair
Players can use any hexadecimal (hex number) number to customize the crosshair color from the VALORANT settings screen under the reticle tab.
There are two tabs to choose from, the general tab changes the firing rate settings while the primary tab changes the reticle shape and color. For color, select the custom option in the VALORANT drop-down menu and enter the hex code.
Hex code colors can be found anywhere on the internet and allow players to choose how light or dark the color should be. This code is six characters long and follows an RGB format. If the entered code is not a hex code, your reticle will revert to the previous color. Set the color you want with the color picker below, then change the RGB button until you change it to Hex. Copy the code of the color you have chosen and paste it in the place we specified for your sight.
