This month's standout game is a fun first-person magical shooter where you travel around Tokyo hunting down the malevolent ghosts that haunt the Shibuya district. Ghostwire: Tokyo. Ghostwire: Tokyo was previously exclusive to PlayStation and PC, but it came to Xbox Series X|S a few months ago. Developed by Tango Gameworks, the studio behind Hi-Fi Rush and The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo is stylish fun set in an open-world section of Tokyo that hides many secrets, ghosts, and threats that you'll manage as you cast spells. It's not too scary, but there are a few great sudden scares mixed in with the action scenes.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, It's a scarier game as this Korean survival horror game tasks you with breaking out of a deserted school and surviving the horrors that lurk at night. You'll need to use everything you've got to avoid being killed by a demon, explore the surrounding Sehwa region, and uncover the dark secrets of the shadow realm as this stylish game won't always leave you feeling unsafe.
If you're looking for something that won't put you in danger of a heart attack, check out this multiplayer dating sim with great art and humor. Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp there is. Like the previous game, you'll take advantage of campfire mechanics to romance a summer camp full of new and familiar monster faces as you find your one true lover. Then follow it, a punishing and brutal game of bullet hell where you must dodge bullets and perform exorcisms. The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibia there.
GRUNND is a handcrafted mystery adventure where you travel through a town that looks ordinary on the surface but hides a surreal and twisted nature beneath that façade. A blend of narrative noir and science fiction, you'll uncover hidden agendas and lurking gods in this unnerving adventure. Finally, Super Adventure Handis a whimsical handheld adventure game where you control your character through several tight 3D platforming stages.
Amazon Prime members can also get a bunch of Halloween skins, in-game currency, and more for games like Asphalt 9: Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, Dead by Daylight, Diablo IV, Roblox, and more in October. Subscribers can also stream several games throughout the month at no additional cost through the Prime Gaming Channel on Amazon Luna. The list of games includes Devil May Cry 5, Trackmania, Orbital Bullet, Dusk and Bee Simulator.
