Resident Evil Village Now You Can Play In Your Browser. In rare Stadia news, Google used streaming technology to let players try out a Resident Evil Village demo directly from their browser on both mobile and PC.
To play the game, you will enter your date of birth on the page that opens and then click on the place that says "Click to play". If your internet connection is stable, the game will start after a while. You can play with mouse and keyboard on PC or with touchscreen controls on mobile devices. You can also play the game as long as you want. Note that streaming games can have a significant data cost. The website itself estimates it consumes around 12.6GB of internet data per hour. In other words, if you are going to play on mobile data, it is useful to check your internet package.
How to Play Resident Evil Village in the browser
1_ First of all, the game is closed to Turkey, so you need to use a VPN to play the game. You can browse free vpns from google chrome extensions for vpn.
2_ After solving the vpn problem, open your google chrome browser and https://play.cid.capcom.com/top.html go to their website.
3_ You can then start enjoying Resident Evil Village by verifying your age with your date of birth.
Warning: You will play the game with broadcast technology. For this reason, I definitely do not recommend you to play the game from mobile data.
Capcom isn't the first company to release an in-browser game powered by Google's technology but without the Stadia branding. Resident Evil Village uses a tool Google calls Immersive Stream for Games, which allows other companies to white label the technology behind Stadia. AT&T recently deployed Immersive Stream to give its customers access to a streaming version of Control Ultimate Edition and before that, Batman: Arkham Knight.
While Google Stadia also has its own demos (some don't require a Stadia account or subscription), the idea seems to have more future as a white-label product that companies like Capcom can use.
