Need the best weapons to dominate the arena in The Finals? Finding the best weapon is not easy because the best choice always depends on your playing style. However, some weapons are generally better than others, whether due to their high speed, incredible damage, or impressive accuracy. Since there are three classes in The Finals, the following weapon tier lists are broken down by class: light, medium, and heavy. From throwing knives to guns, we've got you covered. The Finals best weapons We prepared the list.
Tier List of Best Light Class Weapons
- S-tier: XP-54, V9S
- A third: Throwing Knives, M11, LH1
- Building tier: Dagger, SH1900, SR-84
- C-tier: Sword
Thanks to their high movement speed, light characters use melee weapons much better than their medium and heavy counterparts. Don't go for the sword, though, because its awkward moves and low damage aren't very effective against heavy opponents. Its stab attack is slightly better, but it lacks the potential of the dagger's stab attack, which can single-shot a non-heavy player from behind. Of course, the dagger requires a sneaky playstyle and is difficult to use against groups, but it is a good weapon if the situation allows it. Like the sword, the dagger can deliver a series of slashes – unfortunately this does very little damage.
For added versatility, consider throwing knives as your The Finals weapon. They deal massive damage, can hit distant enemies as well as nearby targets, and offer the option between a quick double shot or a slower single shot. The latter deals more damage and offers better range, but beware that it takes about two seconds to hit a target after initiating a shot. Despite their huge advantage as a ranged weapon with no reload time, their slow launch speed keeps them out of the top weapon tier.
If knives aren't your thing, the light class has some of the best weapons in The Finals, like the awesome XP-54 submachine gun. It's super fast, extremely accurate, and deals enough damage to knock out a heavy player in less than two seconds. It has some kickback, but it's an easily manageable straight line. However, the M11 automatic submachine gun is almost as good. It's just as fast, but offers a larger magazine and incredibly fast reload speed. Unfortunately, it is quite unstable compared to the XP-54, especially towards the end of a burst.
Like the XP-54 and M11, the V9S semi-automatic pistol and LH1 battle rifle are quite similar, with the V9S being the better choice. Despite being recently nerfed, the V9S is still fast and accurate enough to make it one of the best weapons in The Finals. However, it is better suited for melee combat, so if you need more range consider using the LH1 instead.
The SH1900 shotgun and SR-84 sniper rifle are placed at the lower end of the tier list because they only work in certain playstyles. With two bullets in the magazine, long reload time, and the two hits required to take out a heavy player, the shotgun won't work against groups. The SR-84 sniper rifle is very effective against light players, but cannot one-shot medium or heavy players. On top of that, as a sniper it's difficult to keep up with the fast-paced, team-oriented gameplay.
Tier List of Best Medium Class Weapons
- S-tier: AKM
- A-tier: FCAR, Model 1887
- B-tier: R.357
- C-tier: CL-40, Riot Shield
AKM is a great mid-range weapon with high damage, high speed and a decent magazine size. Even better, it's the base weapon for medium loadouts, so you can use it right away. The FCAR is a good alternative if you prefer a higher-range weapon, but it suffers from high recoil and a much smaller magazine size, making it much harder to hit your target. While the AKM is one of the best weapons in the Finals regardless of playstyle, FCAR needs an experienced player with great aim to truly shine.
The Model 1887 shotgun and R.357 revolver are good guns for medium-built players with a close-quarters play style, but the shotgun is slightly better. Although it's much slower, it deals tons of damage and doesn't require precise aiming, making it pretty easy to use. Revolver, on the other hand, only shines if you're a headshot specialist. Even then, you may struggle to handle frequent reloads, as the R.357 revolver has somewhat the same magazine size as the Model 1887 shotgun: just six rounds.
Unless you're playing The Finals for fun and don't care about winning, don't choose the CL-40 grenade launcher - In this case it is a great weapon. For most players, the CL-40 will be very unreliable due to its slow speed and difficult aiming.
While using a defensive tool instead of a weapon isn't a bad thing for the support-oriented medium class, The Riot shield slows you down incredibly and only blocks projectiles coming from a single direction, so it's only useful when you're trying to get close to your opponents. While the melee stick that comes with the Riot shield deals pretty good damage, it is much easier to hit enemies with a gun.
Tier List of Best Heavy Class Weapons
- S-tier: SA1216
- A-tier: Lewis Gun
- B-tier: M60, Flamethrower
- C-tier: MGL32, Sledgehammer
The best weapon for heavy players in The Finals is the SA1216 automatic shotgun; This gun not only deals high damage, but also fires much faster than your typical shotgun. What's more, it has a magazine of at least 16 rounds, and you only need four to kill a heavy player as long as they're close enough. You can eliminate entire teams with just this amazing The Finals weapon.
The M60 is quite unstable and doesn't deal much damage. Unless your targets are nearby, they'll likely manage to escape while under fire, making the M60 a pretty mediocre The Finals weapon. Lewis Gun is a much better choice; it's very stable, its recoil is easy to manage, and it has a magazine big enough to take out three or four heavy characters without having to reload.
It's hard to determine whether the Flamethrower is among the best weapons in The Finals because it's incredibly situational. If used to surprise groups of enemies, it is incredible: you can quickly set the entire team on fire, causing panic and making them retreat significantly. However, if you are dueling against a single player, especially a player who has already noticed which weapon you are using, they will easily dodge your fire and shoot you.
Controlling the MGL32 grenade launcher is difficult because you not only need to accurately predict the fall of the grenade, but also take into account its habit of bouncing after hitting the ground. The grenade only bounces once, but that's enough to miss the target.
While incredibly fun to play, the heavy sledgehammer weapon isn't among the best weapons in The Finals; While you can take out a lightweight player with one hit, you need speed and the element of surprise. Heavy is not the best feature of the class. Its swinging motion is also very slow, making this The Finals weapon best suited for destroying buildings rather than players.
