THE FINALS Patch 1.3 patch notes continue to evolve with the first major patch 1.3 now live on all platforms. The latest patch was released just a week after the game's sudden and surprise launch during The Game Awards.
For the first major patch, the Embark team prioritized “quality of life improvements and general fixes.” The full notes, which are currently not listed anywhere, are thought to list over 300 tweaks to the arena shooter, but there are still some significant changes listed in the highlights of THE FINALS' Patch 1.3.

Major fixes to the menu
Players can now see their position on the global leaderboard under the Leagues section, provided they have played a single ranked match. Additionally, the Recent tab in the Social menu now works properly and shows the teammates you last played with.
Relaxed tournament requirements
Players now only need to play six rounds instead of 12 to compete in unranked tournaments. These can be Quick Cash or Bank It rounds so you're not restricted to a particular mode you might not like. Ranked tournaments still require 60 completed rounds to unlock, so start grinding early to get into the competitive side of the FINALS.
Various bug fixes, including annoying Vegas doors, one of the most visible and reported bugs in the early days after the launch of THE FINALS was the doors in Vegas opening in the wrong direction. This bug has now been fixed. Additionally, interactions where you need to hold input, such as opening a safe or resurrecting a teammate, will no longer be prematurely interrupted if you initiate them while moving.
Various “crash instances” and other quality of life improvements to animations and movements have also been implemented. Console players playing in South America and Oceania can now select their region from the settings menu, and while these servers were available at the game's launch in early December, the lack of this option in the menu caused people to worry that these regions were forgotten.
These are all publicly shared notes, but we are working to obtain a copy of the full patch notes. This article will be updated when all the notes are available.
