Patch 1.6 for PUBG Mobile is almost here. Tencent announced in a tweet on September 10 that the update for the new version of the game will be released on September 14. There is an alien invasion in Erangel.
So far, not much information has surfaced about the new version. The tweet revealed that an air game mode is coming to the game. This is the first time an air mode is coming back to PUBG Mobile since Ancient Stealth mode last year.
In another tweet, Tencent explained that a "dangerous meteorite" is headed towards Erangel. It seems that an alien civilization named Yarilo is occupying the map. Technology company DynaHex, which makes improvements on the map, will also be affected by the invasion.
More details on patch 1.6 will be released in the coming days. On September 9, PUBG Mobile announced that it has added Project Future to the game in a development update. As part of this, Erangel's areas will be enhanced to be futuristic. Other new features will also join the game.
Changes to the Erangel map will be gradual and come with several updates. The first of these changes already occurred in patch 1.5 when DynaHex refreshed the six locations of the map. The company will continue to develop the map.
