Obsidian has announced that Grounded will launch on September 27, after being in early access for two years.
Game director Adam Breenecke announced on his official Grounded Twitter account that the final update for early access will arrive today. Breenecke stated that version 1.0 of Grounded will be "the biggest update ever" for the game. The update will include the full story, surprises, and players will “reveal exactly why you're in the backyard and how to get out of this mess.”
In preparation for update 1.0, Obsidian announced today that it will be the final update for Grounded by September 27. The latest update is called "Home Stretch" and will include:
- a pet mosquito
- An overhaul of the weapon and armor upgrade system
- A new building called the Cookery
The food system will be migrated to cooking so that players can use it earlier in the game's progression. A hidden feature has also been announced but will not be included in this update today.
